Following, you will find a selection of artifacts that demonstrate my competencies for domain 4 of the Danielson Framework for teaching.
This is a comparison of personal fitness test scores for all of my classes from the fall semester of 2013 tests to the spring semester of 2014. After seeing where the students were in the fall, I designed a course with lessons to help improve weaker areas and keep strong areas of fitness high. It was nice to see that at the end of the year we had fewer students proficient in only 1-2 areas and more students excelling in 3-6 of the tests. It would be nearly impossible to have all 600+ students excelling all of the tests, but the move of students to passing more tests was exciting to see.

This is a poster I used to keep track of which classes had finished fitness testing for the year. One of the struggles my lead teacher and I discussed was that we didn't see each class every day and they missed PE towards the end of the year for various reasons such as field trips, assemblies, and guest presenters. Not having a consistent schedule made it difficult to keep track of class' progress. This record keeping poster made fitness testing easier to administer and know which ones each class needed to finish still.

I was able to incorporate Jump Rope for Heart this year in my physical education classes. This was a unique experience because one of the students attending the school has a condition that the American Heart Association helps with this cause. The students thought it was really neat that they knew someone that this fundraiser could potentially help. Working with the American Heart Association, my students raised money for the foundation as well as for the school to use on new equipment. The students got to earn rubber duck key chains by raising certain amounts of money and they loved it. In class we did all kinds of jump rope activities and the students had fun learning and helping their own community.
